La Rae Bigler Somers, passed away at South Lincoln Medical Center in Kemmerer on June 15, 2018, at the age of 87.
La Rae was born on June 8, 1931 in Auburn, Wyo., the daughter of Arnold and Luella Bigler. She married Wesley G. Somers on April 15, 1951, and they had four children: Rick, Kim, Kelly, and Pam.
She graduated from Kemmerer High School in 1949 and worked at Kemmerer Hotel & Drug, Witherspoon Motor, LCSD No.1 1, the Kemmerer Coal Company, and the Kemmerer Recreation Center.
La Rae is survived by her son Rick (Veronica) Somers, daughters Kim and Pam Somers, granddaughters Chris (Jake) Rees, and Lindsey Somers, and a grandson, Dru Somers. She is also survived by great-grandson Jackson Rees, great-granddaughter Olivia Rees, brother Kenard (Carol) Bigler and family, sister Eve (Ron) Hale and family, and her sister Sue Cannon’s surviving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Kelly, sister Sue Cannon and nephew, Terry Bigler.
