Beverlee Winn Thomas, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and Nana passed away peacefully at her home in St. George on Sunday, December 31, 2017, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.

Beverlee was born Jan. 15, 1947, the third child of Spencer and Thora Winn. She was born and raised in Preston, Idaho.

Bev left home to attend school at BYU, and while there she met and married her eternal companion, Frank L. Thomas “Tom” Jr. The couple was sealed in the Logan LDS temple on Nov. 26, 1969.

Bev and Tom started their family while Tom completed his military service and finished law school. They then spent 19 years in Kemmerer. After that, the family came “home” to St. George, Utah.

Bev found her true calling as a mother. In addition to being mother to 10 children, she was “just like a mother” to so many more, including: nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors, foster children and students too. She filled her home with laughter and love. Her ability to care for all who encountered her has blessed so very many lives.

Beverlee was immensely talented. Whether it was playing beautiful music on the piano, organ, and cello; sewing or crocheting nearly anything that needed making; cooking amazingly delicious treats and meals; making beautiful porcelain dolls, or writing touching poems, our beloved Bev could do it all, and do it well.

Beverlee’s testimony of Jesus Christ was very important to her. She loved Him dearly, and showed that love by serving others her whole life.

Bev is survived by her husband Tom, and nine children: Susy, Kristi, Joe D., Aaron, Brad, Emilee, Chris, Kirk and Zach. She is also survived by sister Kristine Twiggs, and her brothers Vance and Bob Winn. She was beloved by 23 (and counting) grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Will, parents Spencer and Thora Winn, brothers Gerry and Kevin Winn, and sister Marilyn Green. She was charitable, beautiful, funny, smart and loving. We will cherish her forever and ever.

All who loved Bev are welcome to gather at an open house service on Friday, Jan. 5, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to celebrate her life. A memorial service will then be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 1:00 p.m.

All services will be held at the Boulder Ridge Stake Center building, located at 1762 South River Road in St. George, Utah.
