The warm sunshine of summer may seem far away, but the recently-announced lineup for the 25th annual Oyster Ridge Music Festival in Kemmerer just may be the perfect cure for the winter blues.
The headliner for the July 26 to 28 festival is The Dead South, a rootsy bluegrass band from Saskatchewan.
Other acts set to perform at the free music festival in Kemmerer’s Triangle Park are Barefoot Truth, Red Wanting Blue, Will Evans & Rising Tide, Stephen Kellogg, Joe Pug, Ben Morrison Band, Ghost of Paul Revere, Farewell Milwaukee, Tom Bennett & Rooster, Escaping Pavement, and festival staple Robin Kessinger.
Oyster Ridge has evolved from its humble beginnings on August 20, 1994, when it started as the Wyoming State Flat-Pick Guitar contest in Kemmerer. The second festival in 1995 added the Bandscramble, an event that continues to be a highlight of ORMF.
