The Kemmerer High School cheer team was in Casper Friday for the 2024 State Spirit competition, and the Lady Rangers made it a day to remember, finishing third in 2A Game Day Cheer, and fifth in 3A All Girl Cheer (Stunts).

The Kemmerer High School cheer team was in Casper Friday for the 2024 State Spirit competition, and the Lady Rangers made it a day to remember, finishing third in 2A Game Day Cheer, and fifth in 3A All Girl Cheer (Stunts).
In 2A Game Day Cheer, Kemmerer finished with a score of 82.00 — just 2.8 points behind runner-up Cokeville. Lovell won the state title with 88.85 points.
In 3A All Girl Cheer, Kemmerer finished fifth with a score of 67.00.
This year’s state squad was made up of 12 girls, led by one senior — Shalin Slater — and second-year head coach Sheril Slater.
The rest of the team was made up of three juniors — Regan Jackson, Jolee Swasey and Clara Vega; two sophomores — Jamie Erickson and Katherine McAffee; and six freshman — Claire Crosland, Kimberleigh Goodman, Kailyn Hall, Denna Slater, Grace Smaldon and Anna Smith.
