The Kemmerer Recreation Center held its annual youth fishing derby on Saturday, June 7, at the community fishing pond. The event ran from 8 to 10 a.m.

Bridger Biebinger caught a 10.4-inch fish, weighing 0.34 pounds to earn first place in the ages 3 and under class.

In the 5- and 6-year-old class, Darrell Kaiser won with a fish measuring 11.1 inches and weighing 0.39 pounds.

Ryker Gillenberg took top honors for those aged 6-8 with an 11.1-inch fish that weighed 0.38 pounds.

Kruz Gillenberg caught the biggest fish of all, earning him first place for participants between 9 and 14 years old.
