The Lincoln County Library Foundation is delighted to announce the receipt of a generous $9,665 grant from the McMurry Library Endowment Fund at the Wyoming Community Foundation. This funding will support the exciting new initiative, Empowering Youth Through STEM: Expanding MakerSpace with Glowforge Pro Laser Machine.
The addition of a Glowforge Pro laser machine to the library’s MakerSpace will enhance the library’s ability to provide innovative STEM education opportunities for local youth. This cutting-edge technology will foster creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning, enabling participants to explore design, engineering, and problem-solving in new and engaging ways.
We are incredibly grateful to the Wyoming Community Foundation and the McMurry Library Endowment Fund for this investment in our community’s future. This grant will allow us to inspire young minds, bridge access to STEM resources, and empower the next generation of innovators in Lincoln County.
The grant also aligns with the library’s broader mission to create a welcoming, inclusive space where all community members can explore their interests, develop new skills, and access technology that might not otherwise be available. By introducing tools like the Glowforge Pro, the library aims to expand its programming to include workshops, collaborative projects, and demonstrations that bring STEM learning to life for learners of all ages.
The Lincoln County Library System invites the community to stay tuned for updates on the MakerSpace expansion and upcoming programs. For more information about the library’s offerings, please visit linclib.org or your local library.
