“Just as the life of the individual is composed of seasons, the Spring of Inspiration, the Summer of work, the Autumn of completion and the Winter of rest and contemplation, so too, worldly events have their seasons,” as it was written in the ancient I Ching oracle.
Kemmerer’s Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2341 Charter dated July 23, 1939, and the Ladies Auxiliary Charter dated December 21, 1969 are also the subjects of this cyclic phenomena.
As in the seasons of our lives, the first generation of Eagle Charter members experienced the Spring of Inspiration when they launched the fledgling Fraternity and enjoyed growing and building a new community fraternity.
The second generation of Eagles applied, even more, effort and enjoyed the Summer of Work necessary to ensure the success of their growing community fraternity.
The third generation of Eagles relished and continued to enjoy the harvest associated with the Autumn of reaping what had been sown by the previous two generations since the inception of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Today’s generation, ours, is now in the process of experiencing the Winter of Rest and Contemplation. We must now rest and together contemplate whether we, as a Fraternity, will return to another Spring of Inspiration or together contemplate a Memorial Service to surrender the Charters to the Grand Aerie.
On Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. there will be a joint meeting of all local Aerie and Auxiliary members to determine whether The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2341, Kemmerer, Wyoming will experience another Spring of Inspiration or plan for a Memorial service for the Kemmerer Fraternity.
Fraternally Yours,
Frederick L. Sebold
Worthy President
