Recently my wife and I were staying at the Slate Creek campground along the Green River to the east of Kemmerer. I had to come to town for supplies. Never having been to your town before, I found it very nice and friendly.
I stopped in the Post Office, Carquest and Ridley’s. At each stop, I was given superb customer service, which is something I don’t see much of these days. We are new to full-time RVing and, in the last seven months, we have been to many small towns like Kemmerer; but, so far, your little town has been the best.
Kemmerer reminded me a bit of some of the small towns that are along the Mississippi River. Many of them had plenty of character and charm that set them apart from most of the towns I’ve been to in my travels.
I know most who live in small towns feel trapped or don’t appreciate the things that travelers do, but it could be worse. I wish your community the best in the future and hope you keep up the charm and friendliness. All the best.
