KEMMERER, WY – Stacy Buck has resigned as the Police Chief for the City of Kemmerer. His departure will take effect immediately.
Buck had been employed by the City since 2012.
“I’d like to thank Chief Buck for his years of service and commitment to our community. I wish him the best as he pursues other opportunities,” said City Administrator Andrew Nelson.
In the interim, Nelson has named Sergeant Mike Kahre, a nine-year veteran of the police force, as Officer-in-Charge of the Kemmerer Police Department. The search for a permanent replacement will likely begin after the new fiscal year begins on July 1.
The Kemmerer Gazette will provide more details as they become available.
