Janet Gay Legarra, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home in LaBarge, on Thursday, July 4. She was born June 17, 1954, in Kemmerer, the daughter of William Edward Heathman and Dulie Easter Conley.
Janet is survived by her husband of many years, Ritch Legarra; her brothers, Mason Heathman, Larry Heathman and Rick (MaryAnne) Heathman; son, James R. Combs (Rock Springs); daughter, Jessi J. Combs (Kemmerer); granddaughter, Jordon Dawn; and grandson, Dakota; as well as many nieces.
Janet has been a waitress, police officer, oilfield worker, as well as a stay-at-home wife and mother. Before her health issues, she had many loves that included playing the guitar, painting, quilting, riding her Harley, working in the garden, hunting and canning.
Janet truly loved the small-town lifestyle of LaBarge. She also very much loved her dogs, Bear and Kilo.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary; sister-in-law, Sherri; and nieces, Lynette, Yvonne and Sherisa. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
