KEMMERER — The first annual K-Town Boomers fundraiser golf tournament raised over $5,000 from local business sponsorships and the 17 competing teams. Money raised goes to the Kemmerer/Diamondville firework show on July 4.
K-Town Boomers organization leader Zach Kilpack said he appreciates everyone involved, especially the help of volunteers, the golf course, all the donations and sponsors as well as the course players. “There was a great turnout with a lot of support,” he said.
Kilpack said they still need a bit more money to reach their goal for the fireworks show and they plan to put on another fundraising event for the FreedomFest fireworks show on the fourth of July at Diamondville Park.
Thanking volunteers, Kilpack said, “I don’t know what I would have done without you all. It means a lot to see the town help support itself and its people.” Lunch was provided by the Opera House Store.
