EVANSTON — Tragedy struck in the early morning hours of Dec. 30, 2023, claiming the lives of three individuals, including those of two young children.
Emergency dispatch received a call at 5:30 a.m. from a passerby that reported “smoke and a glow” from the residence at 342 Worland Cir. in Evanston. The caller attempted to rouse the occupants by knocking on windows, but the heat and flames were too intense to attempt rescue efforts.
