KEMMERER — The man accused of kidnapping and murdering a Utah Transit Authority maintenance worker pleaded guilty today in district court in Kemmerer. DJ Harrison, in a plea deal that will keep prosecutors from pursuing the death penalty, admitted to the crimes from last May.
Harrison admitted that he played a role in the kidnapping and murder of Kay Porter Ricks, though he placed much of the blame on his father, Flint Harrison, who hanged himself in a Utah jail last year.
DJ Harrison's sentencing will be on May 17, in Kemmerer.
