KEMMERER — The Lincoln County Commissioners held their meeting on Feb. 4 to hear agency updates and recognize employees for their years of service. The commissioners moved to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for the Exxon Mobile carbon capture project. Mary Crosby, the Solid Waste Director, spoke with the commissioners about the Scaleit software, which is used for the weighing system at the landfill Crosby addressed issues it has and the alternatives they have found. The commissioners decided to move forward with getting more information for a new system. Destry Dearden, the GIS/IT Director, spoke about the 911 system connection of the Kemmerer dispatch and the Afton dispatch and the upgrades they are working on with CenturyLink and Motorola to make it more secure. Dearden spoke about the upgrading to the OSSI Intercom System at the jail and will be obtaining a contract for that to get started. The Commissioners recognized Monica Hunzie, Assessor’s Office, five years of service, Scott Wakeman, Landfill — Kemmerer, 25 years of service, and April Brunski, County Clerk, 25 years of service. The commissioners will hold their next meeting on Feb.18 at 10 a.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
