Commissioners cover upcoming changes

The Lincoln County Commissioner meeting covered a range of topics in their first meeting for the month of February. Among the items on the agenda were planning and zoning. Commissioner Kent Connelly said that, because they had been without a planner in Lincoln County, there is now a back log. Development is always on the table, however, especially with the TerraPower nuclear plant scheduled to break ground this spring. Connelly said, “TerraPower is still on schedule. They announced a delay but it’s still in the window of the ten-year bill so the delay will actually help us.” He explained it will curb how fast the nuclear facility will develop and give the town a chance to handle it better.
