COKEVILLE — Funeral services were held for Kevin Dee Walker on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cokeville. It was a celebration of life. Kevin would have celebrated his 72nd birthday that day. Family and friends gathered to celebrate and pay tribute to this wonderful man, who was truly without guile.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Cokeville Cemetery for Allan Birch. Friends and family were there to pay tribute and say their final farewells.

Author Tyler Whitesides made a stop in Cokeville on Thursday, Oct. 24. He visited Cokeville Elementary first, doing mini-classes throughout the grades. He then made his way to the high school for a group presentation. Special thanks to district librarian Mrs. Hunsaker, along with local librarians for bringing this wonderful opportunity to our students.

The Cokeville Branch Library sponsored its monthly craft day on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Those attending created a fun Christmas wall hanging. Stop by the library to check out their next craft.

The Cokeville Community 4-H Club held its Awards Night on Monday, Oct. 14. Matthew Teichert was recognized as the “Friend of 4-H.” Madi Dayton was the Outstanding 4-H Member. Kelsi Keetch earned Outstanding Leader honors.

Madi Dayton was Round Robin Grand Champion. Myles Dayton and Geneva Murdock were Reserve Champion Round Robin participants. Bryli and Whitli Groll were the Outstanding Seniors; Myles Dayton and Geneva Murdock were the Outstanding Intermediates and Maycee Dayton was the Outstanding Junior.

Cole Brooks earned 4-H Honor Club recognition. Madi Dayton was voted in as President, Flint Linford Vice-President, Whitli Groll as Secretary, McCall Murdock as Reporter, Geneva Murdock as Call Chair and Bentley McKinnon as Treasurer.
