The Cokeville High School girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will be home on Friday, Jan. 17, hosting the Encampment Tigers and Lady Tigers. Games will begin at 4 p.m.

The Cokeville Branch Library held its monthly Book Club on Monday, Dec. 23. “The Santa Suit” novel was reviewed and discussed. January’s pick is “Things I Wish I Told my Mother” by James Patterson. Pick up your copy at the library today. They have also started their Winter Reads program. Stop by the library to sign up and join in the fun.

Savannah Bell has received a call to serve in the Korea, Busan Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will begin her service in June.

School was back in session for Cokeville High School and Cokeville Elementary on Thursday, Jan. 2. Junior High winter sports began Monday, Jan. 6.

Pine Creek Ski Area is open for business. Lift hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. They will also be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 20, and Presidents Day, Feb. 17.

St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church held a beautiful Christmas Lessons and Carols Service on Monday, Dec. 23. Reverend Randy Belton led the service. There were many beautiful musical numbers along with lessons of our Savior. It was a wonderful evening of friendship.

The McPhee Dance Company presented “Anastasia” on Saturday, Jan. 4. It was a wonderful performance. Lead dancers included: Anastasia, Marin McPhee; Rasputin, Hayden Stoor; Dimitria, Paislee Tims; Lady Valya, Bentley McKinnon; Sophie, Kamri Allred; Rasputin’s Bat, M.J. Nate; Dowager Empress, Lorelle McPhee. Congratulations to each group performing.

A reception was held Saturday, December 28 to celebrate the union of Janae Teichert and Jackson Sandberg. Friends and family gathered to celebrate with the beautiful couple. They were married on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Deseret Peak Temple. Janae is the daughter of Tim and Renae Teichert. Jackson is the son of Wade and Paula Sandberg.
