Here are some notable local election results. Look for a full story in next week's Gazette.
• Amendment A, which will allow the legislature to classify residential property tax differently from commercial property tax, passed in a relatively close vote.
• As expected, Donald Trump, Sen. John Barrasso and Rep. Harriet Hagemen got strong support from Wyoming and Lincoln County voters.
• Robert Bowen will be Kemmerer's new mayor after beating Rachelle Points, 781 votes to 411.
• With three seats available on the Kemmerer City Council, Bill Price, David McConkie and Brantley Popp defeated Emily Hartmann and Dale Hicks.
• In a very close race for two seats on the LaBarge Town Council, Rowdy Headrick and Jake Vilos beat out Jess Meeker and Ashley Newman.
• Cokeville saw another close race for its council. With two seats up for grabs, Brad Shane Tate and Charles Dayton edged out Cameron Bird.
