The Panther basketball season came to an end on Thursday, Feb. 25, as they fell in the quadrant semifinals to the Panthers of Saratoga 33-59.

The Panther wrestlers headed to the 1A state tournament in Casper on Wednesday, Feb. 24 for the one-day tournament that began early Thursday morning. Due to COVID-19, quadrants were set up around the state for regional tournaments and only four wrestlers advanced in each weight division for the state tournament creating 16-man brackets. The Panthers had 13 wrestlers who qualified to compete in the tournament. They all went in with high hopes of doing their best. This team did an incredible job of rallying around each other and encouraging each teammate to do his best. There were no Panthers who advanced to the championship match, but an astonishing nine of the 13 placed in the top five. Cael Thompson, Eli Linford and Landon Walker came home with third place honors. Garrett Reece and Matt Thompson earned fourth place honors. Micah Petersen, Ammon Halls, Mike Cook and Connor Viehweg each came home with fifth place honors. This team of outstanding wrestlers also brought home a third place team trophy behind the Kemmerer Rangers and the Wright Panthers. Congratulations to these great athletes for a job well done on and off the mat.
