On Saturday, Oct. 20, the middle school advanced honor band and choir event took place in Lyman. Students came from Cokeville, Star Valley, Lyman, Mountain View, Big Piney, Pinedale, Jackson, Kemmerer and Evanston middle schools to rehearse and perform. The host site chooses five to ten students from each school to form one big choir and band at the clinic. There were about 60 students selected for band and 60 students selected for choir.
During the day the students rehearsed with the clinicians from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with a few breaks here and there. A concert was held Saturday night at the Lyman High School auditorium and both groups did a wonderful job. Congratulations to all of the Kemmerer students who were selected for the SW District Advanced MS Honor Clinic. Each student performed and practiced with great enthusiasm and effort. Thank you for representing Kemmerer so well!
