The Kemmerer Little League “Day at the Park” is scheduled for Saturday, June 10, at the Kemmerer baseball fields.

This event will take the place of what was previously Opening Day. Along with recognizing all the teams from T-ball, Rookies, Minors, Majors and Babe Ruth, coaches, team moms, umpires and board members, sponsors and donors will also be recognized for their generous support.

Special recognition will be given to three individuals that were instrumental in the grassroots of Kemmerer’s baseball program as it exists today: Ed Kelley, Sam McCloud and Jim Thoeny.

These three individuals volunteered countless hours in creating fields, building dugouts, fencing, scoreboards and crows’ nest, with sound and lights, all from a weed patch.

Make sure you come out for a great day of fun and excitement, and to cheer on your favorite on June 10 at “Day at the Park.” A special thanks goes to the Kemmerer baseball board, consisting of Nic Housely (president), Zach Robinson (vice president), Marisa Hartmann (treasurer), Deb Archibald (secretary), Cody McFarland (safety), Josie Shelton (concessions), Tori Nielson (donations) and Courtney McFarland (Team Moms).
