The Kemmerer Ladies Golf League held their opening meeting with lunch at the Kettle Restaurant on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 and a second meeting held at the Fossil Island Golf Course on May 22, 2023.
Karla Hodge, President and Paula Bowling, Sec/Treasurer welcomed all members, stating that the group had some monies from previous years that would go towards improvements at the Kemmerer Golf Course.
Ladies League plays a scramble format each week on Tuesdays at 10:00 am. Teams are randomly chosen each week, giving each player a chance to socialize with each other and enjoy golf. A donation of $5 per person is collected each week with $3 going to the winning team and $2 to the League. A $1 No Putt Pot is optional. Dues to join the league will continue to be $25 a year. This amount – plus the weekly donation – will go towards a banquet at the end of the year.
Whether you are an experienced golfer or a beginner, all women 18 and older are welcome to join. Green fees and cart prices are set by the Fossil Island Golf Course.
