Joshua Edwin Johnson, age 45, died on October 25, 2020, near Opal, Wyoming. Josh was born on March 19, 1975, in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of Frank A. and Bonnie (Ellingson) Johnson.
Josh was raised in Kemmerer and he attended Kemmerer schools, graduating in 1993. He went on to attend the University of Wyoming at graduated and obtained his CPA in accounting in 1998. Josh spent his working career as an accountant, and worked for various companies throughout Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, and South Dakota. He was last employed with Kemmerer Operations in Kemmerer at the time of his passing.
Josh was an avid University of Wyoming Cowboy fan. He loved following the POKES! Josh loved to travel, and spend time with his family, and also enjoyed the game of golf.
Josh is survived by his parents, Frank and Bonnie Johnson, of Frisco, Texas; a sister, Lindsay (Paul) Moore of Garland, Texas; and a niece, Addison Moore. He is also survived by an aunt, Nancy Black of Kemmerer and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and uncles, William Black, Sr., and Marcus Edwin Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the South Lincoln Training and Events Center in Kemmerer, with his uncle as the officiant. Cremation will precede the funeral services, and interment will take place at a later date.
Ball Family Chapel of Kemmerer has been entrusted to arrangements.
