“Snowbird,” by Anne Murray was a favorite song of Dolores Jean Parent Stock. Beautiful flowers were her favorite thing. Gathering firewood and just being in “the great outdoors” was a most favorite pastime. Born March 23, 1935, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, to Henry and Jessie Garnick Parent.
She moved with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada, and later married Robert Farrel Stock, who had also moved to Las Vegas from Hamsfork. They married December 3, 1955, and enjoyed almost 62 years together before Robert’s passing in 2017. One child was born to this union.
Bob and Dolores lived in Vegas for several years. Then they moved with their family to Paonia, Colorado. In 1982 they settled in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in Montana for the remainder of their days.
