CASPER — Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 16-18, the Cokeville High School track teams competed in the Wyoming 1A State Track Meet in Casper. They experienced all kinds of weather, but that didn’t stop the Lady Panthers from bringing home the state title. And the Panthers did well, too, finishing in third place.
Individual results were as follows: Girls: 400-meter dash: Kallianne Toomer, third; Abby Johnson, eighth; 800-meter: Cienna Halls, second; Emma Teichert, third; Lily Richardson, fourth; 1,600-meter: Cienna Halls, second; Lily Richardson, fourth; 3,200-meter: Cienna Halls, first; Lily Richardson, sixth; 100-meter hurdles: Emma Teichert, first; Emmie Barnes, second; Kylee Dayton, third; Leona Teichert, fourth; Rylee Teichert, eighth; 300-meter hurdles: Emma Teichert, first; Kylee Dayton, second; Kallianne Toomer, third; Leona Teichert, fourth; Emmie Barnes, sixth.
In relay action, the results were: 4x100 Relay: Leona Teichert, Abby Johnson, Emma Tonga and Tana Teichert, fourth; 4x400: Cienna Halls, Emma Teichert, Kallianne Toomer and Kylee Dayton, first place, with a new class record of 4:08.99; 4x800: Emma Tonga, Lily Richardson, Kallianne Toomer and Skylee Call, first; 1,600 sprint medley: Emma Tonga, Abby Johnson, Leona Teichert and Rylee Teichert, fifth.
In field events, the results were: high jump: Kylee Dayton, first; Rylee Teichert, fourth; and Abby Johnson, seventh; pole vault: Tana Teichert, fourth; long jump: Janae Teichert, third; Tana Teichert, fourth; and Rylee Teichert, seventh; triple jump: Tana Teichert, first; Emmie Barnes, eighth; shot put: Janae Teichert, third. The results in the boys’ competitions were: 400-meter dash: Devan Moody, seventh; 1,600: Ethan Bird, second; Tyler Moyes, eighth; 3,200: Ethan Bird, fourth; 110 hurdles: Bentley Johnson, third; Nate Barnes, fifth; 300 hurdles: Nate Barnes, second; Bentley Johnson, third; 4x400: Bentley Johnson, Devan Moody, Tyler Moyes and Nate Barnes, first; 4x800: Matthew Thomas, Ethan Bird, Treyson Dayton and Devan Moody, first; high jump: Jake Harmon, third; Lochlyn Teichert, seventh; Hayden Hatch, seventh; long jump: Jake Harmon, sixth; triple Jump: Bentley Johnson, fourth.
