Charles Emory “CEM” Mackey, 84, of Cokeville passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in Cokeville.

Charles Emory Mackey was born on June 29, 1935, in Cokeville, Wyoming to James Charles and Elinor Mackey. He grew up in Cokeville where he attended grade school and graduated from Cokeville High School.

He married Daisy Anders on January 1, 1956, and became the best dad ever to their daughter Teresa and sons Edward, Charles, Mark, Mike, Heath and Joseph. 

CEM was a cattle rancher on Smiths Fork ranch in Cokeville. CEM was a heavy equipment operator at the Stauffer Phosphate, Leefe Mine near Sage Junction and later at the Kemmerer Coal Mine. Family was very important to him and he loved his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Daisy Belle Anders Mackey of Belair, Maryland; brother Milo Mackey, Sandy, Utah. He is also survived by his children, Ed Mackey, Big Piney; Charles Mackey, Rock Springs; Mark Mackey, Afton; Mike Mackey, Torrington; Teresa Johnson, Rapid City, South Dakota; Heath Mackey, Cokeville; and Joseph Mackey, Cokeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elinor Mackey; sister Carla Hanson.
