Basketball teams to host Wind River, Shoshoni for pink game and military appreciation game

Girls Basketball

The Kemmerer girls’ basketball team hosted 3A Mountain View on Friday, Feb. 1, and lost 78-41.

On Tuesday, Feb. 5, the Lady Rangers traveled to 3A Big Piney.

The Kemmerer girls picked up a win against the Lady Punchers, 49–37. The games brought the Lady Rangers’ season record to 5-14 and their conference record to 0-3.

The Lady Rangers will host Wind River on Friday, Feb. 8. The “pink game” will honor all community members who have fought or are fighting breast cancer.

The J.V. girls’ game is at 4:00 p.m., and the varsity game will follow at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, the Lady Rangers host Shoshoni for a military appreciation game. The J.V. girls will play at noon, and the varsity girls will follow at 1:30 p.m.

Boys Basketball

On Friday, Feb. 1, the Ranger boys’ basketball team hosted 3A Mountain View. The Rangers fought hard but fell to the Buffs, 65-37.

The Rangers traveled to 3A Big Piney on Tuesday, Feb. 5, to take on the Punchers. Kemmerer lost to Big Piney, 60-40.

The losses brought the boys’ season record to 1-18 and their conference record to 1-2. 

The Kemmerer boys will host Wind River on Friday, Feb. 8, for the pink game. The J.V. boys’ game is at 4:00 p.m., and the varsity game is at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Feb. 9, the Rangers take on Shoshoni for the military appreciation game. The J.V. game is at noon, with the varsity boys tipping off at 3:00 p.m.
