Basketball had great week at home

The Lady Panthers had their home openers this past week on Thursday, Jan. 7, and Friday, January 8. Thursday they welcomed the Lady Rangers of Kemmerer. This was a tight game down to the buzzer, but the Lady Panthers were able to squeak out the win, 52-50. Tana Teichert had 11 points, Emmie Barnes had 11 points and nine rebounds. Rylee Teichert had 10 points and six rebounds. Harley Harmon had seven rebounds and Kylee Dayton had seven assists and four steals.

Friday, the Lady Panthers hosted the sophomore Lady Braves of Star Valley. The Lady Panthers won 43-20. Emmie Barnes had 14 points. Tana Teichert had 10 points and Kylee Dayton had five steals. Congratulations, Lady Panthers.

The Lady Panthers will travel to Rich County on Thursday to face the Lady Rebels and then will travel to Kemmerer on Friday. Good luck, Lady Panthers.

The Panthers had their first two home games of the basketball season on Thursday, Jan. 7, and Friday, Jan. 8. Their opener on Thursday was against the Rangers of Kemmerer. The game was close throughout but the Panthers were able to take the win 40-32. Tyler Moyes led the Panther scoring with 12 followed by Nate Barnes with 10. Treyson Dayton and Nick Weaver each had two three-point shots for six points a piece.

Friday, the Panthers were host to the sophomore squad of Star Valley. Again, this was a great matchup for the Panthers. They finished strong and took the win 57-43. Nate Barnes put 20 points up for the Panthers followed by Ethan Bird with 14. Hunter Thomas had two three-pointers and a free throw to add seven more. Tyler Moyes and Treyson Dayton rounded out the Panther scoring with seven each. Congratulations, Panthers.

This week the Panthers will be on the road playing Rich County on Thursday and then Kemmerer on Friday. Good luck, Panthers.
