NRCS Announces Local Work Group Meeting

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The USDA Star Valley Local Work Group will meet April 10th, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Lincoln County Planning Office located at 61 East 5th Avenue Afton, Wyoming. The main purpose of the meeting is to determine local work group priorities for the 2020 funding year. The public is invited. Contact Gary Blazejewski at 307-226-3037 for more information.

The Kemmerer City Council will hear public comments on the following amendments to the FY 18-19 Budget at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2109:

BUDGET RESOLUTION NO. 2019-01 – providing for the receipt and expenditure of various grant monies in the recreation and golf course budgets - $103,588

BUDGET RESOLUTION NO. 2018-10 – providing for the receipt and expenditure of funds from prior fund balance to purchase one time capital items and operating expenses- $84,632

BUDGET RESOLUTION NO. 2018-11 – providing for the receipt and expenditure of unanticipated revenue to be used for employee safety bonuses - $2,900

PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to the Wyoming Administrative Procedure Act and the Wyoming Public Service Commission’s (Commission) Rules and Regulations, notice is hereby given of the Application of Rocky Mountain Power (RMP or the Company) for a approval of a permanent extension to file its annual report with the Commission, as more fully described below:

RMP is a public utility, as defined in Wyo. Stat. §37-1-101(a)(vi)(C), subject to the Commission’s jurisdiction pursuant to Wyo. Stat. §37-2-112.

On March 21, 2019, the Company submitted an Application requesting a permanent extension to file its annual report with the Commission.  Commission Rule Chapter 3, Section 32, requires utilities to file an annual report on or before May 1st of each year for the preceding calendar year in a form prescribed by the Commission.  RMP is requesting a permanent extension allowing the Company to file its annual report on June 15th  at the earliest, annually. 

This is not a complete description of RMP’s Application.  Interested persons may inspect the entire Application at RMP’s Wyoming offices and at the Commission’s offices in Cheyenne, Wyoming, during regular business hours.  The Application may also be reviewed on line at http://www.pacificorp.com.

Anyone desiring to file a public comment, statement, protest, intervention petition or request for a public hearing in this matter must file with the Commission in writing on or before April 19, 2019.  Any intervention request filed with the Commission shall set forth the grounds of the proposed intervention or request for hearing as well as the position and the interest of the petitioner in this proceeding.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR TAX DEED

TO: Kenneth Lynch as heir of Liisa Johnson

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED of the following, pursuant to Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 39-13-108.

  1. The following described property, located at 1023 Pine Avenue, Kemmerer, Lincoln County, Wyoming is the subject of this notice:

That portion of Lots Numbered Seven (7) and Eight (8) in the Block Numbered Fifty-One (51) in the Second Addition to the Town of Kemmerer, as the same appears of record and on file in the Office of the County Clerk and Ex-Officio Register of Deeds in and for said Lincoln County, Wyoming, and described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit:  Commencing at the Northeast Corner of said Lot 7 and running West along the North boundary line of said Lot 7, a distance of 80 feet; thence South to the South boundary line of said Lot 8 and parallel to the East and West boundary lines of said Lots 7 and 8; thence East a distance of 80 feet along the South boundary line of said Lot 8 to the East boundary line of said Lot 8; thence North along the East boundary line of said Lots 8 and 7 to the place of beginning, all according to the maps and plats of said Second Addition to the Town of Kemmerer now on file and of record in the Office of the County Clerk and Ex-Officio Register of Deeds in and for Lincoln County, Wyoming, being a plat of ground 80 feet by 50 feet.

 Subject to easements, rights-of-way, reservations, restrictions, and encroachments of record or otherwise affecting the said Premises.

  1. Said property was subject to, and assessed for, taxation of the year of 2012. It was assessed and taxed in the name of Liisa Johnson.
  2. On July 19, 2013, Gary Colby purchased said property at public sale at the Courthouse in Kemmerer, Wyoming, for the sum of $618.67, said sum being the then unpaid assessed taxes, accumulated interest, and costs. On that day, Gary Colby received a copy of Certificate of Purchase #11501 from the Lincoln County Treasurer.
  3. On March 19, 2019, said Certificate of Purchase was assigned to Travis Colby, the present holder of said Certificate of Purchase.
  4. Pursuant to Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 39-13-108, the legal owner of said real property has until the date of application for tax deed in which to redeem the same from Travis Colby. Unless redeemed within that period, the legal owner’s right of redemption expires. On or after July 11, 2019, Travis Colby will be entitled to apply for and receive a tax deed to such property as provided in Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 39-13-108.
  5. Application for a tax deed will be made on or after July 11, 2019. The amount required to redeem is as provided in Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 39-13-108. The amount for which the property was sold at tax sale was $618.67.  In addition, Gary Colby and/or Travis Colby paid taxes assessed on the property for tax years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and the first one-half of the taxes assessed for 2018.
