Admission into Nursing is competitive and based upon the ATI TEAS testing, grade point average, and completion of prerequisite classes.  All other degree and certificate programs require a high school diploma or equivalency (HISET).  Prospective students who do not currently meet admissions criteria may sign up with Western’s Learning Center to work towards a high school equivalency certificate.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY FOR TAX DEED

On July 27, 2016, the Lincoln County Treasurer issued a tax lien on the following real property: KMER OT B 06 L 16-18 T21 R116 S14 for delinquent 2015 taxes. Real property taxed in the name of TOM YIATRAS. Take notice that I, John R. Butler, will apply for a Tax Deed on July 29, 2020 or thereafter. Time for redemption will expire on the date the County Treasurer issues a Tax Deed. There are no known additional special assessments.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE OF AND FINAL SETTLEMENT FOR AIRPORT WORK

Pursuant to Wyoming Stat § 16-6-116, Notice is hereby given that the City of Kemmerer, during a regularly scheduled City Council meeting held on April 13, 2020, has accepted as complete, according to plans, specifications, and rules governing the same, the work performed under that certain contract between the City of Kemmerer (the Owner) and Granite Petroleum, Inc. (the Contractor) on FAA AIP Project No. 3-56-0015-20/21 and WYDOT Project No. AEMM22ABC in Lincoln County, Wyoming, consisting of Install Jet A & 100LL Fuel Systems at the Kemmerer Municipal Airport, and the Contractor is entitled to final settlement therefore; that the Mayor of the City of Kemmerer will cause said Contractor to be paid the full amount due him under said contract on June 3, 2020. The statutory period for filing of all liens and claims against the retained percentage of payment to the contractor becomes effective on the above date.

ORDINANCE NO. 2020-863

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 AND SECTION 8 OF THE KEMMERER CITY CODE REGARDING ELECTIVE OFFICERS AND ELECTION WARD BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Kemmerer, Lincoln County, Wyoming, that the following sections 2 and 8 of the Kemmerer City Codes are hereby amended as follows:

ARTICLE V. OFFICERS AND DUTIES

DIVISION 1. ELECTIVE OFFICERS

SECTION 2-47. OFFICES, TERMS AND SALARIES.

(a) The elective officers of the city are one (1) mayor and six (6) at-large council members. The term of office of mayor is four (4) years and the term of office of council members is four (4) years, and until his successor is qualified.

(b) The city council, consistent with the city's ability to pay, shall fix the salaries for mayor and council members. The salary for mayor shall be paid in twelve (12) or more installments and may not be less than Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) nor more than Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) per year. The salary for a council member shall not be less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) for actual attendance at each regular meeting, special meeting, or committee meeting.  The salaries shall be set by Ordinance.

(c) The Mayor’s salary shall be Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($450.00) per month.

(d) The Council Member’s salary shall be Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) for actual attendance per meeting.

SECTION 8.3 WARDS (REPEALED 4/13/2020)

SECTION 8-4. ELECTION CYCLE AND PROCESS

(a) In presidential election years the Mayor and three council members shall be elected.   In off year election, three council members shall be elected.

(b) During the primary phase of the election cycle the number of candidates shall be narrowed to the two (2) candidates for Mayor receiving the most votes, and the six (6) candidates for council member receiving the most votes for seats regularly open in the election cycle.  If there are open council seats or mayoral seat due to an unscheduled vacancy, and which seat(s) are statutorily required to be on the ballot, the field will be narrowed to the two (2) candidates for Mayor receiving the most votes, and two times the number of open seats of candidates for council, which receive the most votes.

(c)       During the general election qualified voters of the City of Kemmerer may cast one vote for Mayor and may cast up to three (3) votes for City Council Members for the three (3) seats regularly open in the election cycle, and votes totaling the number of open City Council seats on the ballot which are not regularly scheduled open seats.
