WIND RIVER — The Rangers’ wrestling team traveled to Wind River for the Don Runner Memorial tournament on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 11 and 12. The small team of six boys made a strong showing. With four of the members medaling,
Taylor Chapin, a 126-lb. freshman placed second with a record of 2-1; Garrett Julian, a 132-lb. sophomore, placed third with a record of 4-1; Justin Westwood, a 138-lb. senior, placed second with a record of 3-1; and Justin Rickert, a 160-lb. senior, placed third with a record of 4-1.
Logan Welsh, a 195-lb. sophomore, finished the weekend with a 1-2 record and Tommy Stevens, a heavyweight freshman, finished with a 0-2 record.
The boys will head to Thermopolis this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19, for the Bobcat Invitational 2013.
