On Friday, Jan. 4, the Cokeville High School Panthers traveled to Baggs to compete against the Little Snake River Rattlers. They struggled early with turnovers, ending the first half with 17.

Over half of these turnovers resulted in easy points for the Rattlers. At the end of the first quarter, the Panthers had dug themselves a 28-4 hole. They settled down and played better during the remainder of the game but couldn’t dig themselves out of that hole. The final was 55-33 for Little Snake River.

Point leaders for the Panthers during the game were Brendon Cook with 11 points and Cody Nate with 10. Cook also led in rebounding with 10, Braxton Delgado had 8 and Jonathan Fiscus and Kennan Thompson each had 5.

On Saturday the Panthers were host to the Dubois Rams and came out on top with a score of 42-39.

Cook led the Panthers’ scoring with 13 points, followed by 11 from Delgado.

This win gives the Panthers a 6-1 overall record. The Panthers will travel to North Gem on Friday, Jan. 11, and will host the Farson Pronghorns on Saturday.
