Posted: Tuesday, Dec 4th, 2012

Steven G. Maxwell passed away peacefully on Nov. 30 at his home after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Murray, Utah, on Aug. 23, 1945, he was raised by loving parents, Grant and Florence Berger Maxwell. Steve graduated from Granite High School and went on to serve in the Navy. He spent the remaining years of his life driving truck and operating heavy equipment.

After two failed marriages, Steve married the love of his life, Leslie E. Maxwell, on March 7, 1998. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, four-wheeling, camping, fishing and hunting. Steve had many talents. He loved to tell stories of adventures and usually had a good joke to share. He enjoyed a good beer with friends and no one was a stranger.

Survivors include his loving wife, Leslie E. Maxwell; stepchildren Tony (Tammy) Nielson, Robyn (Dan) Christensen and Tim (Valerie) Nielson; daughters Aimee (Kirk) Remund, Dodi (Richard), and Dani Wilky; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers John and Scott Maxwell; sisters Kris Maxwell, Terry Abernathe and Jan (Dave) Gore. Steve is also survived by his father, Grant Maxwell.

Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be no services.
