KEMMERER — The city of Kemmerer has been awarded $28,839 from the Kemmerer Foundation Fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) to fund operational costs at the Kemmerer Recreation Center, and to purchase a new six-person swing set at Archie Neil Park, a recent release said.
The city of Kemmerer Recreation, Golf and Parks Department is a nonprofit organization serving the Kemmerer, Diamondville, Opal, Oakley and Frontier areas with fitness and recreational opportunities and programs. The department provides all ages with quality facilities and parks to participate in all types of recreational activities, including swimming, golfing, basketball, volleyball, Jr. Ranger Football and indoor soccer.
The WYCF grant will be used to maintain and provide a safe and efficient recreation center for the community to enjoy. In addition to the many classes offered at the recreation center, community members have the facilities available to remain fit and active.
