Membership work around the state is vital to the grassroots success of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation (WyFB). Just as policy development begins at the local level, so does membership recruitment and retention. To recognize this work, outstanding membership worker awards are presented each year to those who go above and beyond in the work to retain and acquire memberships in the organization.
Outstanding Volunteers
Iris Jasperson, of Lincoln County, and Sandy Dovey, of Platte County, were named the 2010 WyFB “Outstanding Membership Workers” in the volunteer category.
Iris Jasperson has been an active member of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau for more than 14 years. She currently serves as the secretary/treasurer, membership secretary and Agriculture Tax committee chair.
In the nomination letter the Lincoln County Farm Bureau wrote: “Iris has been a major force on our county board and is always willing to help wherever asked. She has been a key organizer of events we sponsor. She is very deserving of this award.”
Sandy Dovey has been active with the Platte County Farm Bureau for the past seven years. Dovey has served as county information chair and currently serves as the county membership chair.
