Family members of former longtime Kemmerer residents Ronn and Diana (Roberts) Julian remain at the Oregon Burn Center in Portland following their June crash of their private airplane in Anchorage.
Preston Cavner, the pilot of the plane, suffered a severe concussion, severe burns from the waist down, lacerations on various parts of his body, back injuries and underwent complete reconstruction of his face.
Cavner’s wife (the Julians’ daughter), Stacie, suffered a punctured lung and severe burns on 50 percent of her body. She also had both lower legs and both feet amputated as well as all of the fingers on her right hand and the finger tips of her left hand.
Stacie and Preston’s 2-year-old son, Hudson, also had numerous surgeries to treat burns and the amputation of his toes on his right foot.
The Cavner’s 4-year-old son, Myles, died in the crash.
The cause of the plane crash is still under investigation.
