CASPER — Four girls and their coach traveled to Casper on Tuesday, March 5, for the State 3A/4A State Spirit Competition.

There is no longer a 1A/2A competition, so Cokeville has to compete with the much larger 3A squads.

These four girls went in and left everything on the floor and mat as they competed in the Non-Stunt Cheer and the Stunt Cheer categories. They came home with a fifth place finish behind four other 3A schools in the Stunt Cheer category and a 12th place finish in the Non-Stunt category Cheer.

The event’s announcer stated that the Cokeville team, which included Shaundra Warner, Randi Shimmin, Hannah Nieslanik, Charlene Fang and coach Kasey Mackey, had the loudest crowd cheering them on during their performances.
