On Friday, Jan. 24, the Panthers were host to the Rattlers of Little Snake River in basketball action.

This was the second meeting of these two teams this season. The Panthers put up a great fight but fell 37-53.

The top scorers for the Panthers were Braxton Delgado with 11, Cody Nate with 10 and Brendon Cook with 6. Leading rebounders were Brendon Cook with 8 and Cody Nate with 7. The score wasn’t what the Panthers wanted, but they have made improvements against one of the best teams in the state. On Saturday, the Panthers traveled to Kemmerer to play a non-conference non-classification team. The Panthers had two great quarters where they played very well and two quarters where they had difficulty handling the ball pressure and physical play of the Rangers. The score ended with the Panthers 33 and the Rangers 51.

Top scorers were Jonathan Fiscus and Cody Nate with 8 and Brendon Cook with 7.

Top rebounders were Brendon Cook and Braxton Delgado with 5 and Kennan Thompson with 3.

This week the Panthers will again have two non-conference non-classification teams. On Thursday, Jan. 31, they will travel to Big Piney to face the Punchers for the second time this season, then the Kemmerer Rangers will come to the Panthers’ gym on Friday, Feb. 1.
