Above: All eight participants in last week’s 3-day Universal Dance Association Camp throw a leg up as they work on their synchronized moves. At left: the participants take a break to pose for the camera. In the rear row from left to right are Skylar Morton, Natasha Tully, UDA Instructor Lanli, Harlee Lewis, Sierra Collins and coach Diane Avery. In the front row are Codi Cardenas, Brittany Annala, MaKayla Reed, and Crystal Ellis. During the camp, the girls learned new dances for both football and basketball seasons.
In the photo at right, three girls are wearing medals. Those three girls, Natasha Tully, Brittany Annala and Skylar Morton, tried out to be All-American dancers, earning the right to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade or in Rome. All three made the team.
Avery said that she is so proud of all the girls. The girls all received blue ribbons for their performances. Avery said that she is just “tickled to death” with the effort, intensity, and attitude of the girls. She said “the girls work so well together, I’m anxious for this year, it is going to be great.”
