Fred John Celebrin, 77, passed away at South Lincoln Nursing Center in Kemmerer on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. Fred was born in Kemmerer on March 5, 1934, the son of Ferdinando and Katerina (Carollo) Celebrin.
He attended school in Kemmerer and graduated in 1953. He was a proud member of the United States Army, where he served in New Mexico and also Fort Lewis, Wash., in the 4th infantry division. He later worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and at the post office in Kemmerer for the U.S. Postal Service.
He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the American Legion.
Fred is survived by a sister, Rose Kennedy of Kemmerer; a sister, Rena (Roy) Harrison of The Dalles, Ore.; one niece, Lydia (Todd) Cannon and two nephews, John and Dale Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Fred Kennedy.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kemmerer, with Father Philip Vaske as the celebrant. A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's. Interment with military honors will be held at the Diamondville Cemetery in Diamondville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer.
