Cynthia Ann Krall, 48, formerly of Soda Springs, Idaho, passed away on July 15, 2010 at her home in Vernal, Utah, after a courageous fight with cancer. Cindy, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend, was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.
Cindy was born in Fort Sill, Okla., on June 2, 1962, to Bob and Donna Pizzato. Five years later, she was blessed with a brother, Bret. Cindy was raised in Kemmerer, Wyo., where she graduated from Kemmerer High School in 1980.
She attended the University of Wyoming for a short time and married Mark Krall on June 12, 1982.
Mark and Cindy made their home in Soda Springs, Idaho, where they lived for over 20 years. Cindy graduated from Idaho State University with an education degree and later taught at Soda Springs High School.
She enjoyed teaching young people and trying to make a difference in their lives. With her strong belief in service and giving back, Cindy was also very active in her community. She was always kind and respectful of others, and she seemed unable to say no to anything asked of her.
Cindy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed traveling and exposing her children to other cultures outside their small town. She also enjoyed going to the theatre, doing crafts and spending time with her friends.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Mark Krall, of Vernal, Utah, and two daughters, Andrea (Sean) Gumm and Anna Krall, both of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by her parents, Bob and Donna Pizzato, of Kemmerer, Wyo., and brother, Bret (Laura) Pizzato, of Rock Springs, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her sister-in-law, Kathleen Rosas; her niece, Michelle Krall; and her nephew, Jesse Rosas.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Cindy’s life by attending a rosary service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, and a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 23. Both services will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kemmerer, Wyo. Burial services will follow the Mass at the South Lincoln Cemetery.
Many heartfelt thanks go to Sharon Connelly for the friendship and care she provided Cindy during her time in need. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, www.abta.org, or the Glines 7th Ward Relief Society, 1270 West 1500 South, Vernal, Utah, 84078.
