KEMMERER — Local resident Jason R. Buck faces charges as an accessory in a 2012 string of crimes in the Kemmerer/Diamondville area, including aiding and abetting, conspiring to dispose of stolen property, property destruction and defacement of property and accessory after the fact.
During an interview with Lincoln County deputy Mitch Hale and Kemmerer police officer Michael Kahre, Buck said that John “Rusty” Povsche had paid him $100 to help strip and transport a truckload of copper wire to Utah Metal Works in Salt Lake City, Utah. Although Buck hadn’t been present when the wire was taken, he did know it had been taken without permission from the Kemmerer High School construction site.
An arrest warrant was issued on Oct. 9, 2012, for Buck and a bond order was filed on Oct. 11, 2012. Buck is now out on personal recognizance until his April 15 trial.
