Margaret Anne Popp

Margaret Anne Popp (Peggy) passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, after a long battle for her health in Ogden, Utah. She was surrounded by her loved ones.

Peggy was born May 11, 1958, in San Francisco, chosen by parents, Gordon Leland Huntington and Bridget Murray Huntington (Taylor).

Peggy grew up in Davis, California, where she found her love for competitive diving while attending school. Peggy went on to live in Kemmerer, where her mother’s family was from. She made this her home for the last 40 years. She was an avid billiards player and was a force to be reckoned with when she was running the table.

Outdoor activities and traveling were always a priority. Sitting still wasn’t an option, and she could outwork anyone. Peggy never met a stranger and was quick to speak exactly what was on her mind.

She was a very driven independent woman. Most of all, she was a very loving mother.

Peggy is survived by her three loving children, William (Sadie) Popp, Ryan (Brantly) Popp and Bridgette (Cody) Stone — all of Kemmerer; her mother, Bridget Huntington of Davis, California; and her brother, Charles (Laura) Huntington of Shady Cove, Oregon.

She is also survived by the love of her life and husband, Mark Huckaby of Kemmerer — not to mention many friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Leland Huntington; and her uncle, Monsignor Taylor (Charles Taylor).

Cremation has taken place per Peggy’s wishes.

The family will hold a celebration of life at the Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 21, starting at 5 p.m. There will be food and reminiscing to be had. Please join us in remembering the fun, spunky woman she was.
