Eric Backman, Mitchell Berger, Greg Berger and Ron Bruderer have applied for two open Diamondville town council seats.

The openings follow the resignations of council members Char Smith and Susan Hunzie on May 18. Current council members Annis Nicotera and Jim Burnett and mayor Megan Kominsky interviewed applicants on Monday.

The council expects to fill the seats at their July 6 meeting, at 7 p.m. in Diamondville town hall. All four council seats will be up in the 2010 election, Kominsky said.
